Midnight Syndicate creates “soundtracks for the imagination”, mostly in the gothic horror genre. This isn’t just a best of 1994-1999. The songs were rerecorded and remastered, which means that they sound much better (more often than not). In my opinion this can just completely replace their earlier albums such as Born of the Night, Gates of Delirium, Realm of Shadows and Vampyre (even though Born of Night is the only one with songs on this album, the others are all post 1999). By no means can the sound quality compare with a film score, but the number of cheesy tracks is significantly lower and if you don’t mind using music that is all obviously done on a keyboard pick it up.
