Midnight Syndicate creates “soundtracks for the imagination”, mostly in the gothic horror genre. This is one of their earlier albums. Like Born of the Night, Realm of Shadows, and Gates of Delirium I still cannot recommend this album. The music too often sounds like a synth and unfortunately for the genre that they have chosen, horror, this cannot be overlooked. If music is supposed to creep you out or put you on edge then it should not make you chuckle at how “bad” it sounds. Their later work does improve though.
